Meet Your Founder

Hola, Soy Liz!

I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Liz, founder of The Bilingual Learning Studio™, and mom of 3 bilingual kids.

why i started this

From the Classroom to The Bilingual Learning Studio

Throughout my career, I noticed the same story unfolding again and again.

Children understood Spanish beautifully.
They smiled when their grandparents spoke to them.
They understood family conversations.
They knew far more Spanish than anyone realized.

But when it was their turn to speak… they became quiet.

"Many bilingual children weren't lacking language. They were lacking confidence."

That realization changed everything.

I created The Bilingual Learning Studio because I wanted bilingual children to have a place where they feel safe taking risks, where speaking and reading grow together, and where every child learns to feel proud of the language and culture they carry.

Today, our programs help bilingual learners strengthen their speaking, reading, writing, and confidence through joyful, research-based instruction designed specifically for bilingual children.

Because every child deserves to feel connected to their language, their family, and their future.

Our Four Pillars

Everything we do is designed to help bilingual children feel safe, actively use Spanish, connect learning across languages, and understand how language works.

Confidence Before Perfection

Lowering the Affective Filter

Children learn best when they feel safe taking risks. We create a warm, encouraging environment where mistakes are treated as part of learning and every child feels confident using Spanish.

Active Language Use

Purposeful Retrieval

Children do not build confidence by only listening. Our students actively use vocabulary, speak in complete sentences, and use Spanish throughout every lesson.

Connections Across Languages

Biliteracy Transfer

Bilingual children already carry valuable knowledge from one language to another. We help them use what they know in English to strengthen reading, writing, and communication in Spanish.

Becoming Language Detectives

Metalinguistic Awareness

Students learn to notice patterns, compare Spanish and English, and understand how both languages work. These connections help them become stronger, more thoughtful bilingual learners.

"We don't simply teach children Spanish. We help students understand, connect, and confidently use both of their languages."

Research-Based Learning

Everything we teach is grounded in the science of bilingual literacy and language development, helping children build lasting confidence in communication, reading, and writing.

"

Every bilingual child deserves the confidence to speak, read, and proudly embrace the language that connects them to their family, culture, and future.
